PS: In the second clip
Mon Nov 20 03:41:33 2000
on the right- here it is again for reference- there is that green area gobbed around a dark thing that would have colored well. The anomaly in question is the dark think that I think is another "Y" shaped ship (flying tweezers!) I don't know if they come in very bright and very dark metals, or if Malin feeds us more negs than we think, or what, but sometimes these objects appear dark...
And I think that's a large gold animal/human face (with woof ears) situated horizontally with chin pointing right. Something bright on forehead and nose obscuring it a little, but all parts there and fairly noticable. As usual I'm using warm tones (red-orange-yellow end of spectrum) as the flesh tones to indicate faces, and the green-blue-violet end for geometry, structures, artificial objects. A lot of piping I tried to do in blue in the 3rd image in the previous post...

Poking around Gordon's City
Fri Mar 30 14:35:48 2001
I didn't check back on the pages that are already started on this for the Rountable (see post below, we
are still very interested in more finds in this image and adding them to our central Image
Roundtable webpage), but I'm always drawn to the nice face monument in this pic and explore
around it. A couple extra face candidates here that may not have been reported before-
I really do think this image has very diverse landscape "Face Art" styles, mostly just
coloring what I darn well please... :-)

AOL Instant Messenger Chat- Chronos & Bullitt- Sat. Mar. 31, 2001
Bullitt: Hi chronos
chronos: hey
Bullitt: I did some workups on Gordon's pic
ages ago,
Bullitt: I've had it for a long time
Bullitt: I got some killer doodads from it
Bullitt: You might want to add this
Bullitt:
Bullitt: see the shape of the platform this fits upon?
chronos: ?
Bullitt: PI
chronos:
chronos : Is there some self-similarity going on there maybe, or???
Bullitt: I'm gonna show KK, it's a bit meridiani ish
chronos :
Bullitt: winged head face
chronos:
chronos: oops
chronos:
chronos: rather Egyptian
Bullitt: Cool
chronos: Those multiplicitous Martians!
Bullitt: I'm detailing something now
chronos: Some amazing angles in that crop but I don't even remember it. I need to get to work, eh?
Bullitt: It's on that pic, along with several other cool things
chronos: I think there's a lot there. Probably my problem, I open it and 100 things jump out all at once
Bullitt: LOL
chronos:
chronos: I think there's some self-similarity there also
Bullitt: looks like artville
chronos: looks like what I always said about Cydonia, a big face with lots of little stuff all over it
chronos: the eyes and mouth on the big face still look pretty good
Bullitt: I like that little stuff, that's where the boojums hang
chronos: Yeah, I see a whole shopping district on that big face
chronos: You can still see 3 parked tourist busses in the parking lot under the nose
Bullitt: I found a martian national monument!
chronos: What'dja find?
Bullitt: Is it at the confluence of two roads?
chronos: up by the Norelco
Bullitt: LOL
chronos:
chronos: some of the little faces around it are killer
chronos: that's quite a nose though, not sure if they mean that
Bullitt: the middle right one is similar to a structure on my boojum dome pic
Bullitt:
chronos: could be. the scale is right. I thought it might be tubing though
chronos: there is a lot of it all through this pic, almost like irrigation
Bullitt: right
chronos: that's a lot clearer than my version. You're pretty good! :-)
Bullitt: Danka
chronos:
chronos: I'm guessin this may be what I was looking at.
chronos: orion, plastered on a face and faces up the waz
Bullitt:
Bullitt: I've learned to manually use the MOM, and psp7.02 is the best hands down
chronos:
chronos: look out I'm on a roll with the face thing
chronos: :-)
Bullitt: Whoo hoo!!
chronos: I thought that with the pipes, though, like they were placed with respect to face art
chronos: yours looks different but it was like one coming down the center of a face dead center
Bullitt: Wow, This has turned into a pretty image intensive chat!
chronos: nice to be able show some to anyone.

OK I think I actually worked on the right image this time. I rotated this and applied histogram adjustment.
There appears to have been an incredible flow out of the triangular area on the right. It
also appears to have stepped downward as indicated. The large white triangular area I cropped
out of the image has a circular structure on it. Man of the lines I noted have shadows under
them, appearing that they span through the air. Anyway the whole area just reminded me of
Niagra Falls. Perhaps the origin area is an outflow from an underground lake, the circular
structure designed to capture water flow to power underground turbines. Or maybe Pauls' thread
below influenced my perspectives.

Now I know I've ben looking at this stuff for too long today. I just couldn't resist when
I saw this posting by *Jim. I'm almost too embarassed to post this, but this is what I see
(sort of). Don't ask me what it means. I think it's time for me to work on something else
for awhile.

Not so loony...

I actually played around with some blue tints throughout before just leaving it all white,
I didn't see the right triangular area as that wide (green tint) but rather more contained
by the walls, with an outflow begining in that left triangular area.

M0001638 - Gordon's City...
Mon Apr 2 19:05:30 2001
Worked on this one some time back when Gordon first did work on this pic. I'd forgotten about it until I saw *Jim's posting. When I first started playing around with this image, I didn't have PSP 7.0 and the results were not what I had hoped they would be. This enhancement was
done using PSP 7.0. It is a negative crop of the original. This crop was taken from just above the missing data line about half way down the image. It is a very large pic (1.6 MB - approx.
6 minutes). I apologize to those with modems for the slow download. Be sure to look at all the
circled areas. There is so much more in this pic. I didn't circle all the neat stuff - see what you can find.

I have also found lots of goodies in this image, it sure lends itself to group work doesn't
it?

Nice Work, Mike...

there's a lot there, and, more to be found, but, whatever mojor finds left to be uncovered are
hiding amongst th' Daisey's. I can see a lot of things in that image that appear to be some
kind of growth, Fungal or Vegetation, I don't know, but, it looks living.
But, we'll
need images that overlap or reimage the same areas over several years or seasons time to look
for changes in the patterns visible, to make that determination.
