Image Description:
TRAVERSE ACROSS SEVERAL ISMENIAE FOSSAE TROUGHS WITH LINEATED FILL

The image pictured at right and as described above on the MOC site was
brought to Anomaly Hunters by Kat. While Kat is not the first to notice
strange things in this area, she certainly has done quite a bit of work
on it. Kat has a great set of pages featuring her personal work on this
image which can be found HERE! Below is a chat exchange with fellow anomaly
hunter Chronos and further exchanges and image work from other anomaly
hunters follows on the succeeding pages. Another presentation on this image was done by Kent Steadman and that can be found HERE!

chronos:
There's a lot of great features to chose from, that image is really a nice
find. Stuff everywhere
Kat:
are you looking down below the areas i was showing..theres way more over
the cliff as well
chronos:
That crater area is pretty interesting. In the thumbnail it looks like
someone parked a bus too close :-)
Kat:
at the very bottom? Did you see the big square sitting in the middle?
chronos:
I'm looking at the face at the moment. Not sure everyone is going to agree
it's a face right off, but looks like the common complex design... Those
shovel shaped areas really are kind of the clue, I've found so many candidates
like that
chronos:
And a good number that are faces every way you turn them
Kat:
yup...i don't like doing faces usually..they are too easy to deny
chronos:
I think if they make them complex there will be something else to corroborate
that they're deliberate
Kat:
what else could the face be?
chronos:
Do you see the circle to the right of the square in the crater? That looks
a bit like a face to me also
Kat:
it doesn't look like a building..but it is complex, not random..
chronos:
A little bit more like Graham's face
Kat:
hold on im looking
Kat:
that circle doesn't look like it was created by an impact..more like it
was carved out
chronos:
It looks like a tetrahedron of some kind of geometric thing on the right
edge of that square in the crater
Kat:
unless its a really really old impact
chronos:
Exactly
Kat:
yes there's a lot of markings there..
Kat:
that square in the crater..i have 3 of those now... all the same... I have
no idea what they are... what could the be for??
chronos:
It looks like a platform, with "temples" on the far side. Kind of ancient
Mesoamerican?
Kat:
YES...it is very mesoamerican!
Kat:
there's lots of temples..but that brings in the question of whether everything
on earth we called temples was just an easy way of saying we don't know
what they were used for...we cant call everything a temple
chronos:
That's a really good point. I think it sort of is that way, exactly
chronos:
There are things we still call "temples" down here that we think were schools!
chronos:
That's just one example... |
