Anomalous Roundtable
Current project
Posted By: starjim George and I have been working (mostly George) on the vis strip from
THEMIS. Of particular attention are the two mesas. The one all the way
at the top and the flat one part way down the left side. Believe me when
I say that there is a lot more to these mesas than meets the eye. While
we are working a bit behind the scenes at the moment the material is almost
ready to be placed here we would ask that anyone interested follow the
link and get the image to work on and be ready to submit material once
we debut the project...
Here is the link for the image: http://themis.asu.edu/zoom-20021009a.html
On tap for projects are Parrotopia (WIL?) and a few other interesting
things that I have longed to work on.
I notice that only a few people have signed on here so if you note some
names you want included then let me know and I will send out another email...
and remember this is an invitation only board people....

I've already done so. So I'm ready for the two of you to fire away.
BTW, re: the flat mesa part way down the left hand side. Am I correct
that's the one that was included (along the right edge) in Bullitt's hoagland1
image? There's something very peculiar and interesting in it if so. I will
wait for your image, but if it's the one I'm thinking of, Jim, an I.M.E.
animation is in order (which I will do).
Parrotopia? You're on. But there's a catch. The new batch of MGS MOC
images contains an image very close to but not quite overlapping the original
pic. It's the closest secondary image to the site so far. I downloaded
it a week to ten days ago but I haven't even had time to look at it yet.
I've got to do so first!!

Wil & others,
Jim and I are ready to go with our analysis however, we would like to
wait and see what you have before we release our work. We don't want to
influence your review of the strip. The strip includes (from the top down)
the Acropolis mesa, the Cliff, the Key, and the Flat-Bed mesa. Our study
has focused on the Acropolis mesa (at the top) and the Key.
G.H.
I would suggest you include the context image even if it is small so
I'm heading out for awhile but I'll give you a shout around noon

Very interesting George,
people can understand the general setting for this. How did you arrive
at the split line?
large architectural structures were photographed just to the southwestern
and northwestern sides of a formation that researchers have identified
as the Cliff
(Figure 1). To the north western side of the Cliff is a mesa that I
have called the Acropolis Platform (boxed in red). To the southwestern
side of the Cliff is a
mesa that Dr. Catlotto has identified as the Key (boxed in red).2
